    poor privacy

Navigating the one-way streets is infuriating!!! The advertised 'city view' is misleading, with only dirty building roofs in sight. Lack of curtains disrupts privacy, and the promised amenities like a hair dryer were absent!!!

We had a very good stay for four nights.

Our location was perfect and excellent to enclosed area. All the personnel was very very helpful and amazingly attentive. Our breakfasts were traditional and plentiful with great view on the plaza in front.

The setting is stunning and favourable, just off the historic centre so near bar and restaurant, and Pelourinho, the historic centre of Salvador. Make sure you stay in the standard room with the view of the sea. There is a lot of facilities in the room such as : a kettle and blackout curtains.

    cozy breakfast
    unique charm
    pool table
    lack of wardrobe
    small room

Staying here was a great decision while visiting Salvador, especially with attractions like the Church and Monastery of Saint Benedict just a short walk away. The unique charm of the hotel really caught my attention, offering a cozy breakfast that included some delicious Brazilian favorites. I found the quirkiness of the place really endearing, and the pool table added a fun touch to my evenings. I did wish that there was a wardrobe in my room to hang my clothes neatly.

The hotel is very unique -its small and cozy, yet not for everyone. It does not have an elevator - which didn't bother us at all :) Its location is absolutely perfect - right in the midst of the historical center. The staff was very nice and helpful - especially Raphael.

The area at night is spooky - so we didn't go out after 21:00, but the hotel has nothing to do with it of course. The a/c costs aditional 20 reals - or to be exact the remote control to the a/c - that was just weird. There is no food place near the hotel at night and no restaurant in the hotel open after 22:00. Again - too spooky to go out :)

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Rooms were clean and immaculately decorated. Breakfast is fresh fruit, eggs made to order, coffee and juice. The bar is fantastic and a great place to meet other tourists not necessarily staying at this hotel.

Unfortunately, the location of this hotel leaves much to be desired. It is adjacent to a very dangerous alley. My husband and I were actually mugged on our first night there, one block from the hotel. We hired a driver to escort us around the next day and felt much safer. Also, we made sure to stay away from anything that even resembled a dark alley. If the locals tell you to stay away from certain streets, listen to them! Don't carry anything flashy with you, or even a purse or a shopping bag. Do all your shopping during the day and leave your bags at the hotel. Use common sense and be aware of your surroundings at night.

    beautiful buffet
    leaking shower partition

    Breakfast by the bustling plaza

I woke up each morning to a beautiful buffet filled with fresh fruits and savory delights. The hotel's location by Praça da Sé allowed me to watch vibrant street performances right from my balcony.

The air conditioning struggled to keep my room comfortable, taking longer than expected to cool down. The bathroom setup also had its quirks, with water pooling due to the shower partition leaking.

The style of the Hotel was just wonderful. The decoration of every room was very special. In the morning before the Cafe is open we could also use the Internet for free. The breakfast buffet was great a lot of fresh food and fruits. The location directly at the Praca de Se is perfect to visit the old town of Salvador even though late in the evening you should not go out because the area is said to be a bit dangerous. Thus we stayed at the Cafe in the evening and had our Caipirinhas there which was no bad choice!

The room was really comfortable, clean and good appliances. The staff really helpful, special mention for Marcio who was always kind and ready to help; also Michel who was really helpfully great to send me and object left behind when I left the hotel. Thank you guys the breakfast is so delicious and well prepared. Always fresh and tasty.

The side streets had people taking and selling drugs, but this is obviously not the hotel's fault!!! Visitors should take care when walking in the area at night.
